Rendo (tryrendo.com) is operated by JD INTERNATIONAL LLC, 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. This policy explains what we collect when you use Rendo, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: hello@tryrendo.com.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive the name, email address and profile picture of your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Your content. The videos you upload or import, the audio taken from them, transcripts, the moments and captions Rendo suggests, your edits, and the finished clips.
- Usage and billing records. Which plan you are on, how many clips, source hours, export minutes and how much storage you have used, and a record of your subscription and payments. Card details are entered with and stored by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, and logs of requests and errors, used to run the service, prevent abuse and fix problems.
How we use it
- To provide the service: transcribe your video, find moments, add captions and render clips.
- To manage your account, enforce plan limits, take payment and send service emails such as sign-in links.
- To keep Rendo secure and reliable, and to understand how it is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your videos to train our own AI models.
Data from your Google account
If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares a limited set of information with us so that we can create and sign you in to your Rendo account. This section explains exactly how that information is handled.
- What we access. Your Google account's email address, your name and your profile picture, plus a unique account identifier. We request only the basic sign-in scopes (openid, email, profile). We do not access your Gmail, Drive, YouTube, contacts, calendar or any other Google data.
- How we use it. To create your account, to recognise you when you sign in, to show your name and picture inside Rendo, to send you service emails about your account (such as receipts and sign-in links), and to contact you about support requests. We do not use Google account data for advertising.
- Where it is stored. In our authentication and account database, hosted by Supabase, with access restricted to the systems that run Rendo. It is transmitted only over encrypted connections.
- Who we share it with. We do not sell Google account data and we do not share it with third parties, except the service providers listed below that process it on our behalf (for example our database and email providers), or where the law requires it.
- How long we keep it. For as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, or ask us to, we delete it within 30 days except where we must keep a record for legal or accounting reasons.
- Your control. You can disconnect Rendo from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com under "Third-party apps & services", and you can ask us to delete your account and all associated data by emailing hello@tryrendo.com.
Rendo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Services that process data for us
We use other companies to run Rendo. They receive only what they need to do their job, and handle it under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Supabase: accounts, sign-in and our database.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, media storage and privacy-friendly traffic analytics.
- Google Cloud: video processing, and Google's Gemini models to select moments and write hooks from the transcript.
- Groq and Deepgram: speech-to-text transcription of your audio.
- Stripe: subscriptions and payments.
- Resend: delivery of emails such as sign-in links.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose "Continue with Google".
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
Reuse of analysis for identical files
To avoid repeating work, Rendo may store the analysis of a video (its transcript and suggested moments) under a fingerprint of the file. If another account later uploads the exact same file, that stored analysis may be reused. Your video itself, your projects and your clips are never shared with other accounts.
How long we keep things
- Uploaded videos are deleted automatically 30 days after you last worked on the project.
- Finished clips are deleted automatically 90 days after they were last exported.
- Uploads that were never completed are deleted after 48 hours.
- Account, usage and billing records are kept while your account is open and afterwards for as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting.
Download the clips you want to keep. Deleted files cannot be recovered.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and content, by emailing hello@tryrendo.com. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with the law that applies to you.
Children
Rendo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 18, use Rendo only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Security
Media is stored privately and served through time-limited links, and access to our systems is restricted. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you by email or in the product when a change is significant.
